On June 4, 2025, as part of outdoor activities for Module III, a field trip was held with students from Group C1 to the outdoor event – Mobility Picnic, organised on the PŁ campus by the International Cooperation Centre.

Language classes in the field during the Mobility Picnic

Organising the student outing, an English language teacher, MA Dominika Biernat, aimed to familiarise students with the offers of international mobility programs and to create opportunities to develop linguistic, cultural, and social competencies in an authentic environment.

Students actively participated in the event, visiting information booths from various countries, taking part in quizzes and conversations with participants of Erasmus+ exchanges. They also engaged in the integration part, participating in games and shared meals.

An additional outcome of the outing was the preparation of individual reports in English, summarising their observations and impressions from participation in the Mobility Picnic. This task aimed to develop skills in writing formal practical texts and cultural reflection.

Participation in the event proved to be a valuable experience for students, increasing their awareness of the opportunities offered by mobility programs and encouraging them to undertake international initiatives. For the organiser, it was also an opportunity to observe students’ language skills in a non-classroom context and to support their activities in a multicultural environment.

The outing to Mobility Picnic was a meaningful component of the Module III curriculum. The combination of direct contact with exchange program offers, intercultural integration, and practical writing tasks allowed for the multifaceted development of students’ competencies.
