European Project Semester is an innovative one semester programme whose main part constitutes a multidisciplinary project realized in a multicultural team. The project is accompanied by a few intensive courses: Innovation for Projects, Team Building and Communication for Projects, Polish language and Culture and Project Management. The language of communication is English.
EPS covers the whole semester workload of 30 ECTS and is characterized by distinctive principles: the projects address real-life problems, technological and societal challenges and are conducted in collaboration with companies or TUL faculties. The programme philosophy is based on a student - centred approach, in which teams are autonomous in their research, problem – solving and decision making. Team mentors facilitate the groups taking a variety of approaches such as Problem – Based Learning, Design Thinking or project – based approach.
The students of EPS learn how to learn, how to develop innovative solutions, collaborate with companies, work in international environment, be autonomous and responsible for the process of learning, develop skills appreciated by employers in a global job market today.
The programme is conducted at IFE, TUL. EPS is in the network of 19 European universities.
